Our Favorite “Nice” Creams!
Nothing hits the spot (especially on a hot summer day!) like ice cream, but for anyone counting calories or limiting sugar they do pack a punch! The solution? Have your s’cream and eat it too with these healthy, sweet and satisfying nice creams!
Banana is an amazing ingredient for at home nice creams because of its natural sweetness and creamy consistency. This recipe combines them with berries, a bit of maple syrup, MCT oil and coconut milk for a fully natural, dairy-free and vegan-friendly dessert ready in as little as 2 hours! If you freeze longer than 2 hours, you’ll just need to allow it to thaw out a little bit before diving in.
Vegan and gluten free, this is chocolate nice cream puts sweet potatoes to amazing use to make a sweet, creamy ice cream you can have ready in a little over an hour with the help of an ice cream maker. (If you don’t have one, you will just have to allow about 2-3 hours to freeze while churning every half hour.) First you will cook your sweet potatoes the easy way with 10 minutes in the microwave. Once cooled, mash your sweet potato and add to a blender with melted chocolate, vanilla, sea sat, coconut sugar and coconut milk. Let freeze up in your ice cream maker or the freezer before enjoying with your favorite toppings!
4 ingredients! That’s all you need to whip up this sweet, tangy and tropical treat! Because it is made with just frozen bananas, frozen mango, lime juice and almond milk, the final product will be a light, soft texture much like sorbet. Made by blending ingredients together, you can enjoy right away or let solidify further with some time in the freezer!
Made with natural sweeteners (your choice of maple syrup or honey), this recipe is vegan and paleo-friendly! Starting with frozen bananas and chilled coconut milk, pistachio paste and your sweetener are added to a blender until smooth. Instead of blowing a days worth of calories on a few bites however, this recipe utilizes Paleo diet ingredients for less of a processed sugar shock to your system. Starting with a paleo vanilla ice cream, mini cookies are formed, but not baked! These are literally chunks of cookie dough mixed in with vanilla ice cream – we feel a craving coming on just thinking about it!

Made with your choice of yogurt (we recommend vanilla so you can omit the vanilla in the recipe), simply add cream cheese, honey and sprinkles to a food processor and freeze for a minimum of 6 hours to overnight. Not only is this recipe easy-beyond-belief, but it’s also the perfect way to make someone’s day anytime since the ingredients are common in most refrigerators!
Bonus points to this recipe for utilizing a often overlooked but fantastic healthy sweetener – protein powder! They are available in all flavors, but mix in with any fruit with some ice and water/milk of choice and you have a delicious treat! This recipe uses nothing more than berries, chocolate protein powder and almond milk with some chocolate chunks for a guilt free treat anyone could get behind!
