Awesome Things To Do With Cheese
The food that has all the fun! There is no doubt that cheese makes everything it touches better, but there are so many other ways to enjoy it that are totally underrated. Check out how you can go way beyond sandwiches and pasta with these awesome cheese hacks!
This is a fun one to try for your next taco night! They are fast, easy and way more delicious than regular tortillas. There are lots of ways to do this, both in the oven or on the stove top, but the general idea is the same melt cheese together then place somewhere to harden into your taco shape. You can go with a conventional taco shape (pictured above), use a muffin tin or place over a bowl.
Let’s face it, cheese is amazing just the way it is. But now imagine 5-7 minutes in the oven turning your favorite shredded blend into a cracker-like chip that you can dip or top as you please! It’s not too good to be true, and there are as many ways to enjoy cheese chips as there are cheeses. Parmesan works best, but most naturally aged cheeses like Swiss, provolone, Havarti and cheddar will work too. Just don’t forget to spray the pan or use parchment paper.
Some combos to try:
For anyone watching the carbs, cheesy “bread” is back on the menu! This amazingly dip-able and delicious low carb invention only calls for 1 ½ cups of your favorite cheeses with 2 eggs for the base – but whatever else you pack into and season it with is yours to decide. Mozzarella, parmesan and Italian seasonings would be excellent for dipping into a warm marinara. A cheddar-Monterey blend with taco seasoning, tomatoes and onions. Mozzarella and Romano with basil and sun-dried tomato. Cheddar and cream cheese with jalapeño and bacon. Gouda and Monterey jack with cajun seasoning, andouille and green bell pepper. 🤤
Perhaps the best part of these ultra-light crepes (apart from being ultra low carb) is how fast they are to make from start to finish. You can make them sweet or savory by swapping the cheese you use by remembering it is 1 ounce of cheese for every 1 egg. Simply add your cheese, eggs and seasonings to a blender then proceed 2x faster than you would regular pancakes. Wait for your butter or oil to heat up over medium, allow 1 ½ – 2 minutes on the first side and 1 minute on the other. You can season your crepes with sweetener, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa, coconut for something on the sweet side, or for savory you can throw in garlic powder, salt, pepper, taco seasoning, etc. You can also use this method for some bangin’ low carb enchiladas.

Hash-brown lovers listen up! Cheesy fritters are the way to go. Not only does a healthy dose of cheese add awesome flavor, but it will also bind your filling together and add some extra crispiness too. Cheesy fritters are excellent with shredded potato, zucchini, squash, carrot, corn, rice or riced broccoli or cauliflower and beyond.
The odds are good that you know and love mozzarella sticks just as much as we do. The good news is you don’t need a deep fryer to make melty cheese sticks-of-heaven in your kitchen! Cheeses like queso fresco and blanco and halloumi can actually be pan-fried into crunchy-cheese goodness, but any cheese can be used. The trick is to freeze the cheese before frying or even baking for the cheese to hold its shape. If using a breading, just prep and freeze 1 hours before go-time. In Cheese We Trust ✊
