Awesome Appliances

Instant Pot Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Cake

We are living in an era where convenience is key, especially in the kitchen! Not only do these top kitchen appliances make cooking fool-proof, but in many cases they speed up the cook time, and/or prep time. Our favorite part is the way they make high quality meals at home possible for everyone – from experienced chefs to kitchen newbies, busy bees and entertainers alike!

Air Fryer

Vremi Air Fryer

From fries and chicken cutlets to fish and onion rings, the air fryer is a convenience King when it comes to fried foods. Equipped with a heating mechanism and a fan, this compact unit forces hot air down and around food within a fryer-style basket. The rapid circulation and intense heat makes the food crisp just like deep frying, with much less oil and much easier clean up. The only cons? No liquid-battered fried foods and for large quantities you will need to cook in batches.

Slow Cooker

Crock-Pot Slow Cooker

For roasts, soups, stews, ahead-of-time dinners, dips, breads and even large-batch hot drinks like cider and hot chocolate, slow cookers are a dream come true. Available in different sizes, this countertop appliance cooks foods at low temperatures over a long period of time. Because most recipes require a few hours, most of the cooking happens unattended (pardon a stirring or two depending on the recipe). This makes it the ultimate method for not only time consuming recipes like roasts and breads, but make-ahead meals too!

Pressure Cooker

Presto Pressure Cooker

Called the “fast cooker” by some, pressure cookers can be used for everything from rice and beans to braised meats and vegetables. Using steam pressure from liquid added to it, a sealed pot heats up which causes steam to form which raises the pressure of the pot. This steam can get to a boiling point much higher than water – with water reaching 212º F and steam pressure as high as 250º F. The higher heat helps food cook faster, plus the steam forces liquid into the food, making for tender rice, beans, veggies and meats much faster than other methods.
