Local and Fresh – Bread at Best Market
There’s nothing quite like freshly baked bread. The aroma is alluring and induces memories of Sundays baking with Grandma.
Bread that comes fresh from the oven also has health benefits over it’s cousin, the soft loaf white bread. Free of artificial additives to improve shelf life, our fresh breads get back to the basics of how bread used to be.
At Best Market we pride ourselves on offering fresh, quality breads that we either bake in-store or source from local bakeries.
Here are some of the bakeries whose products we proudly carry:
Amy’s – With a dedication to create local, handcrafted breads using only natural ingredients and no artificial additives, Amy’s is committed to traditional methods of slow fermentation that produce bread as good as it looks.
Bread Alone – Pumping out some of the finest loaves of bread this side of the Atlantic, Bread Alone uses only organic ingredients and sends sourdoughs through their wood-fired hearth ovens everyday. We’re proud to be the first market to offer Bread Alone on Long Island and enjoy daily deliveries of their high quality bread.
Monreale – The real deal, Monreale is the authentic expression of Italian bread. Founder Matteo DiFiore began training in his Godfather’s bakery in Italy at the age of 9, opening his own bakery in Brooklyn in 1975. Today the tradition of authentic Italian bread is continued by DiFiore’s sons who are committed to preserving their father’s high standard.
Sullivan Street – Rising out of SoHo, this bakery has its roots in the rustic traditions of Italy where founder Jim Lahey found his desire to bring craft, small-batch bread to New York.
Tom Cat – Served at 4 star restaurants and hotels across New York City, Tom Cat Bakery has established itself as a staple of authentic French and Italian bread packed with flavor and character. Their French baguettes are on a different level of deliciousness, baked 24 hours a day, delivered everyday. Pair with Brie or a Goat Cheese Chèvre and bliss out in Parisian paradise.
