Whether its a party, potluck, movie night, lazy day at home or celebration of any kind, dips are always a good idea! Go big or go home with these mouth-watering dip recipes.
Just the idea of hot smoked gouda and bacon is enough to make us hungry, but after seeing the full line up of cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, smoked gouda and bacon that go into it, this dip is a bonafide “must-try”. This recipe is an old fashioned goodie, made in any oven-proof dish and baked for 30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. While its magnificent on its own, you could add a bit of chili powder, cayenne or some hot sauce to give it a little kick!
Made in our dip-device of choice, this slow cooker recipe is awesome for how easy it is to prep and how dang-good it is. Apart from cooking the bacon, this recipe is as easy as opening cans, jars and packages. Fully-loaded with corn, jalapeños, mayo, a quad-fecta of pepper jack, mozzarella, parmesan and cream cheese with – of course – bacon. This is a no-fail recipe that will be gone before you know it. One last great part about it is you can keep the bacon bits on the side if you want to keep it vegetarian!
“Easy” is an understatement! Apart from being darn-delicious, most dips are as easy as dumping ingredients together. This is one of those recipes! Made with 1 can of chili beans mixed with chipotles, sour cream, cream cheese and shredded Monterey Jack cheese, this recipe is amazing flavor made easy! While the recipe calls for baking in the oven, we’re sure this recipe would do fine in a slow cooker, too.
If you haven’t had crab rangoon before, it is like an Asian version of buffalo chicken. Instead of regular hot sauce, Sriracha is used to give it its kick, and instead of chicken, its crab. One thing crab rangoon has that buffalo chicken doesn’t however is a layer of oh-so-good Thai sweet chili sauce on top, the real secret ingredient that makes this dip a “must-try”. As if the dip isn’t enticing enough for you, there is also a how-to for making your own crunchy wonton chips for dipping. 🙌
Here they are! Ricotta, tomato sauce, sausage and mozzarella – the heavy hitters of Italian-style deliciousness work their magic in this genius and amazing lasagna dip! Just one step away from “deconstructed” lasagna, this is everything you love in the famous pasta dish minus the noodles. Simply cook your sausage, sauté your onion and garlic, then add your tomato sauce and season with crushed red pepper. Staying true to the layered nature of lasagna, ricotta is laid out on the bottom of a baking dish, topped with the sausage and red sauce, then finished off with mozzarella before baking it all together until melted and bubbly. Serve with crostini and buon appetito!
We simply couldn’t have a “best of” dips list without at least one dip that put Velveeta to its ultimate usage. Behold – Cowboy Queso – sausage, pale ale, Velveeta, pepper jack, tomatoes, beans and cilantro melted together into a dip lovers dream. Make it on the stove top or in a slow cooker. Either way, serve with tortilla chips and watch how fast this dip is gone-baby-gone!
If there is any dip you could consider gourmet, its this combo of kale, white beans and artichokes in a creamy vegan cashew sauce. How can a vegan sauce be so creamy like cheese? The secret is nutritional yeast, a thickening agent that turns practically any sauce into thick, saucy goodness. Using this along with soaked cashews, sautéed garlic, a vegan cream cheese and almond milk in a blender makes this beyond-tasty cream sauce. From there, simply sauté kale with the artichokes and white beans, mix it together and enjoy.
The ultimate crowd-pleaser! This buffalo chicken dip is chunky and creamy and cheesy and the perfect conclusion to our best of dip list. Cutting zero corners, this recipe has the onion and garlic sautéed in butter with cream cheese, mozzarella and shredded chicken we love, spiced up with the classic Frank’s RedHot hot sauce we adore. Topped with an optional blue cheese and serve with crostini, veggie sticks, chips, crackers, pretzels, pita, on buns, on burgers and more. We’re actually pretty sure you could serve this stuff with a spoon and no one would be complaining!
