By following the traditional baking methods of the Bread Bakers Guild of America, their breads and sweets are carefully handcrafted to taste as good as they look. They are highly involved with the communities around them, with over 8,000 pounds of extra bread donated each month to Fountain House and City Harvest and strictly serving the New York City area. With a firm belief against the popular process of “parbake and freeze”, their breads are made by hand, baked and delivered to be enjoyed within hours of being freshly baked! They even run a green facility, using only “green” cleaning products and local dairy products, eggs and seasonal fruit whenever possible. The bakery recycles all paper, metal and plastic as well as composting food waste and coffee grounds. Even their packaging and salad containers are compostable!
